Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages

Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages are situated within an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty on an organic farm within the picturesque lush green hills of West Dorset. Within 20 minutes drive of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, the cottages are ideally placed to visit the coast, East Devon, South Somerset as well as West Dorset. The 6 cottages, converted from old farm cottages and a 16th century barn, sleep 21 in total, with one being wheelchair accessible. With the games room, they surround a courtyard within the farm. 

Dogs are very welcome at Bakers Mill and there are many walks from the door including the Ridgeway and Monarch Way.

Coarse fishing is also available close by on our spring fed lakes. 

Wildlife abounds on the farm and you can frequently see deer grazing in the fields, foxes and badgers, and plenty of birdlife.

Night skies are very dark with no light pollution making for wonderful star-gazing on clear nights.

Dogs love their holidays with us, there are plenty of walks, dog friendly pubs and beaches for them to enjoy.

We have recently had an electric car charging point installed in the courtyard for the convenience of our visitors. There will be a small charge for this and it can be added to the booking form.

Charities

Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages are involved with many charities and have used our cottages to raise funds for causes close to our hearts. These include  - Adult Hospice Care, Admiral Nurses (Dementia Care), Rotary International towards a toilet block at an orphanage in Kigali in Rwanda and also Kairo Konka scout lodge in The Gambia for the building of a school. We have also given money for local projects organised by the Rotary such as funding towards the building of a new children's hospital in Southampton, Minstead Training Trust, and Romsey Young Carers to name just a few. All our old bedding and linen etc is sent to St. Petroc's for the homeless.
