Other Facilities

         Recreation Room

We have a large recreation room in the courtyard with snooker, table- tennis, table-football and darts.
A large OS  map on the wall along with leaflets about places to visit will help you plan your days out.
There are stacks of books to read, jig-saws, board games to play and toys for younger children. We have a large toy box for very young children and a large play-mat. You are welcome to take any of these items to your cottage whilst you are staying with us. Wifi available in Games room.

Large Groups
Dining in the recreation room is great for large groups, or in the courtyard during summer weather. With separate cottages you can spend as much time as you wish together and retire to your own cottage when you want peace and quiet, or an early night without upsetting the party; very popular with family groups.
If you are booking all our cottages for a large gathering you will have exclusive use of the recreation room for entertaining and we have provided a hostess trolley and trestle tables and benches to be arranged as you wish.
professional caterer can be recommended if you want help with your party. She is happy to provide whatever service you require from just a plate of sandwiches to a fully waitress-serviced function.
        Laundry Room
A tumble drier is available besides the washing lines in your cottage gardens should you need to dry clothes. An ironing board and iron are kept here too.

Walks
Two long distance footpaths can be accessed from the farm; Monarch Way and Wessex Ridgeway, along with numerous shorter walks nearby, such as the River Parrett Trail, Jubilee Trail, Millenium Walk and Brit Valley Way.
The two local pubs are walking distance along a quiet country lane; Admiral Hood in Mosterton about 3/4 mile and Winyards Gap in Chedington, about 2 miles walk. Both serve very good food and are dog friendly.
Local Amenities
The village of Mosterton lies just under a mile away and has a shop selling papers, groceries, off-licence etc. The Admiral Hood is in the village; a dog and child friendly pub serving good food at very reasonable prices. Quiz night second tuesday of the month. Our visitors have been made very welcome.
In Chedington you will find the Winyards Gap, serving good food and dog and child friendly. This pub has fantastic panoramic views. Chedington is a very old village and very picturesque, a brisk half hour walk or five minute drive from Bakers Mill.
Crewkerne and Beaminster are the local towns, both about 4 miles away. Nearest petrol station is in Misterton and railway station is between Misterton and Crewkerne.
There are many small specialist shops selling local produce and handicrafts in the area. Details of some of these can be found in our information racks.
